What issues would I face if I overstayed my visa?
Individuals in the UAE on a 30-day visa on arrival may benefit from a 10-day grace period. However, prepaid visa holders and other visa types do not have any grace period. Overstaying beyond the grace period or the visa validity will result in a fine of 50 AED for the first day and 50 AED for each additional day.
Upon exiting the UAE, you will be required to pay for an exit permit, which costs between 250-350 AED. If you extend your stay through immigration or a tourism company, the overstay fine of 50 AED per day will still apply.
Can I apply for multiple visas?
Yes, it is possible to apply for multiple types of visas simultaneously in the UAE. However, approval will be contingent upon several factors, including your eligibility for each visa type, the purpose of your visit, and compliance with UAE immigration regulations. It is crucial to thoroughly review the requirements for each visa type you wish to apply for and ensure that you meet all the necessary criteria before submitting your applications.
Can I travel to other countries during the application process?
The ability to travel to other countries from the UAE depends on the type of visa you hold. If your UAE employment or residency visa is currently being processed, you are not permitted to travel until the visa has been completed and issued, regardless of whether you hold a second passport. Exiting the country while your UAE residency or employment visa application is still pending will result in the cancellation of your application, necessitating a new application upon your return.
